A man threw a baseball against his balloon-covered truck to test that it would withstand a beating from a hailstorm should one hit his Texas home.

The car, unable to fit inside his garage, is instead protected from a motor-pumped balloon which according to the man: "protects the vehicle from hail as large as a bowling ball."

The video was filmed by his wife on April 18 at their home in Collin County.

Prior to a large hail storm near Dallas, TX, USA I prepared my vehicle to withstand a beating from the storm.

I purchased a giant balloon from a local vendor. It uses a motor to pump air inside the balloon and protects the vehicle from hail as large as a bowling ball. We get baseball/softball hail regularly where I live so I purchased one and it works like a charm.
