Canada Day protest at Queens Park in Toronto
Indigenous Canadians are protesting at the statue of Sir John A. MacDonald on Canada day, here at Queens Park in Toronto. They are peacefully protesting the murdered and missing indigenous women by posting posters on the monument. Security forces arrive and ask the women to remove her posters. An attempt was made by security to remove the posters, this was not successful. The security officer detained the indigenous women, and had asked her peer to come down from the statue. The man holding up the red dress on the statue stated “I can’t come down with out a ladder.” Spectators are furious.
