Firefighters have been working through the night battling a fire at a former cotton mill in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Around 75 firefighters tackled the blaze at Oxford Mills on Oxford Street East.

Video filmed from a nearby building on Tuesday (August 7) shows a large plume of smoke and flames.

Pockets of the fire are reportedly still burning on Wednesday morning.

Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service tweeted: "The buildings involved have all partially collapsed and are unstable. Local roads have now reopened but it is too early for us to know the cause of this incident."
