I received multiple alerts of fires within my local area, and could smell the air was getting thick, which reminded me of the last few Calabasas/Malibu fires. I made my way to the local grocery store in order to acquire some emergency supplies and to get a more accurate assessment of the status of the fire. As I parked I could see the smoke in the distance, slowly making its way towards our area, and I immediately grabbed my phone in order to capture some footage. As I started shooting, I was startled by the voice of a woman in the parking lot yelling at the sky… She told me “This is why this is happening, because God doesn’t like “ugly motherfuckers” promptly followed by “good luck rebuilding your store."
