The former mayor of London Ken Livingstone angered commuters this morning (December 2) by delaying an underground train after sticking if foot and hand in the door to stop it from closing.

The clip shows the moment commuters realise who the man causing issues is, after station staff tell the man, “You should know better than this.”

“That is your ex-mayor of London there!” one of the stunned onlookers inside the carriage can be heard saying.

The incident happened at Willesden Green on the Jubilee Line.

Livingstone was Mayor from 2000 to 2008.

At Willesden Green a man had one gloved hand and some of his shoe wedged in the door of a Jubilee Line train. I didn’t realise who it was until an off duty staff member pointed him out, at which point Ken Livingstone was refusing to take his hand and foot out, he pushed harder to get on the train despite repeated requests from the driver / station staff and the guy on board. Taken about 10.45am on Monday 2nd December.
