This was the heartwarming moment two separated sibling puppies recognised each other at a puppy socialisation class in Calgary, Canada on December 1.

Newfoundland puppies Drax and his brother Dallas were littermates and immediately recognised each other when attending a socialisation class.

Drax's owner told Newsflare: "We took our nine-week-old Newfoundland puppy to his first socialization class and discovered his brother was in the same class.

"This video was of them greeting and playing with each other, after immediately recognizing themselves as siblings."

"It was very unexpected to see one of his siblings as the litter was born over an hour and a half away."
