Watch this Memphis hotel's bizarre tradition where ducks are paraded in front of guests
The Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee has permanent feathered residents in their lobby fountain and every day they are marched to the elevator.
Footage from yesterday (December 23) shows guests including some children escorting the birds from the fountain along a red carpet to the elevator.
The tradition sees the the ducks to their rooftop home and has become a popular attraction for guests.
According to the filmer, the tradition started because of a prank by some hunters putting bait ducks in the fountain around a century ago.
