Inspiring footage shows above-knee amputee Frikkie van Tonde refuse to let his disability get in his way of living life to the fullest.

The video, recorded on January 4, shows Frikkie riding laps on a motorcycle track only three days after leaving hospital where he was admitted for three weeks undergoing a leg amputation operation.

Almost two years ago, in the early hours of April 26, 2018, Frikkie was involved in a motorcycle accident which crushed his right leg.

He told Newsflare: "I was on my way to work and there was a broken down vehicle with no hazards or emergency signs. I swerved and missed the car with my motorcycle but my right leg got badly broken and damaged between my motorcycle and the car.

"The biker community in our town came together to do a fundraiser for me, to help with costs because I also lost my job as a boilermaker due to the accident.

"I was blessed with life insurance which I totally forgot about. On March 10, 2018, I took out life insurance which required two instalments to come into effect. On April 25, 2018, I paid my second instalment and on April 26, 2018 I had my accident. Two weeks after that they paid R 1.2 million [GBP 63,600] into my account.

"God really answered my prayers."

"I was involved in a motorcycle accident on 26 April 2018 at 05h30 in the morning, on my way to work. There was a broken down vehicle with no hazards or emergency signs out in the dark at a three way robot, which I saw too late. I swerved, missed the car with my motorcycle, but my righthand leg got badly broken and damaged between my motorcycle and the car.

The videos, where I was riding my brother's black Hayabusa is 3 days after I came out of hospital, where I was in for 3 weeks and got my leg amputated.

I've got many more videos of me, where the biker community in our town, came together to do a Fundraiser for me, to help with costs, because I also lost my job as a Boilermaker, due to the accident.

I've also got a whole testimony, where I explain, how I was praying for help and guidance, to get myself to start driving my truck and also how I was blessed with a life insurance, which I totally forgot about, which had to be paid 2 month, to get it activated!! According to Platinum life, I took the insurance out on the 10th of March 2019. The first payment for the insurance went off in the 25th of March 2019, the second payment went off on the 25th of April 2019 and yes on the 26th of April 2019 at 05h30 in the morning, I had my accident!!! After they phoned me one day to give me the opportunity to upgrade my policy, where I told them, that I don't have a policy and they told me, I have and 2 weeks after that they paid R 1.2 million in my account!!

With that I could pay off my Ford Ranger truck and some household items and also helped a few biker friends with some of their dept.

God really answered my prayers!!

Well again long story, much shorter !!! The woman said, Platinum Life gives me the privilege to increase my policy and then it will pay more when I die and that a Disability Plan is part of the policy !!! Ikt asked her, how long did I say all the policy and then I took it out on March 10, 2018 and already paid two installments there, which is a requirement for policy to come into effect !!!!
I told her she wouldn't believe, but I'm sitting with one leg now because I lost my leg in a motorcycle accident on April 26, 2018 !!!! She said she was sorry to hear about it, but then she had good news for me !!! She says, I can claim, because the March 25, 2018, the first installment went down and April 25, 2018, the second installment went down, so I can claim !!!! My accident happened on April 26, 2018 at 5:30 pm !!!
