I found the moment overwhelmingly sweet. We only have our foster animals for a short period of time and we miss them all when they leave. So, any chance we get to record or save a special moment we take. The video was filmed in our home in New Orleans, Louisiana. My son, who's name is Foster and the kitten were both around 10wks old. Our foster kittens typically love being where the action is. I’ve been in awe of many of our fosters genuinely want to be near and around our son as much as possible . Doppel, the kitten in this video, was always around during our nursing time and the nap time that followed. Fostering is a true passion for me and my husband. It’s something we hope to instill in our children and to encourage people everywhere to try. We hope that people see our video and that fostering is possible even with small children and a busier lifestyle. They just need a space to be loved and grow. We chose to mainly foster small kittens as they are the highest volume and most vulnerable category of animals that come through most shelters. We encourage everyone to reach out to their local shelters and see how they can get involved. Fostering a small kitten is literally saving their lives as most are unfortunately put down to lack of resources.
