Greencastle Anti-Light Pollution & Gold Mine Protest Display - Drone View
Drone footage of light demonstration set up by protesters at the proposed new site of a gold mine in Greencastle within the Sperrins in N. Ireland which is a very hot topic, especially with the new dark sky observatory opening in April. The lights mark where the mine will be located and provide an example of the intense light pollution generated by the mine which will seriously hamper dark sky observing. This was about creating awarness to combat light pollution, I was invited along to document the show.
