A homeowner in Lake Tahoe, California made a surprising discovery when they found that during the night a black bear had attempted to break into one of their cars.

Home CCTV footage filmed on June 20th, 2018, shows the bear paw at the door and clamber onto a parked BMW. It continues for several minutes before wandering off unsuccessful.

The camera owner commented: "Didn't see the bear at night, til the morning there were bear traces and a smell, and then the camera was checked and saw the bear. No damages made to the BMW. "
