On April 12, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) made headlines when they shared security camera footage capturing a rather unusual culprit in action. A hungry bear, caught on camera attempting to break into a parked patrol car, sparked intrigue and humor alike.

The video, shared on Instagram by FHP's Troop F stationed in the southwest region of the state, showcased the furry intruder's brazen attempt at what the FHP humorously labeled an "attempted burglary of an FHP state trooper car." In the footage, the bear, affectionately dubbed "Teddy" by the FHP, can be seen sniffing around the parked vehicle, presumably in search of a quick snack. Undeterred by the challenge, the bear used its mouth and paws in an attempt to manipulate the door handle.

Despite Teddy's valiant efforts, the patrol car remained secure, its doors firmly locked at the time.
