Two people were injured during a fight that escalated into a shooting on Saturday nights in Galveston County, Texas.

Scary eyewitness footage shows the moment a scuffle turned into something far more serious before the crowd disperses amid the panic and hide behind nearby parked cars.

The incident took place during the annual Go Topless Jeep Weekend.

“I was recording with my friends beside me and as the people were fighting - who were all strangers - shots erupted throughout the beach, hitting two people, which after the video I led search and rescue to,” the filmer told Newsflare.

The filmer wishes to remain anonymous.

“The cops were looking for the shooter and eventually chased the guy but lost him in the dunes,” he said.

According to local reports, the two victims are in hospital being treated for their injuries.
