Little Red Flying Foxes (Bats) leaving their daytime camp site in the late evening.
An Australian species of large bat, commonly called Flying Foxes (in this case Little Red Flying Foxes) leaving a daytime campsite to feed at night. This species can form camps over up to 1 million bats and they often do damage to the trees that they camp in by breaking branches (which give out under the weight). This camp was causing problems to a small town in south-east Queensland Australia. The residents wanted it gone! But as is typical in these situations, the bats moved on themselves when food (nectar) ran low in the area,
