Fascinating visuals have emerged from a wildlife reserve in southern India's Karnataka where a tigress was seen nursing and playing with her cubs.

The incident took place at the Nagarhole National Park on April 28, 2018.

Filmed by Amal George, a wildlife photographer, visuals showed the three male cubs walking towards their mother as she rests.

The cubs go back and forth while dividing their time between playing with one another and feeding while the mother waits patiently.

Speaking about his experience, George told Newslions Media Network that he was fascinated by the 'bold' tigress as soon as he saw her.

"She too was a bold tigress like her parents and is not bothered with the presence of safari vehicles around her," the wildlife photographer said.

George has been following the tigress ever since she became a mother and visited the park frequently after news spread of her pregnancy.

"I was chuffed to hear that she had given birth to three male cubs in April 2018. Hearing the news, I drove around 250 kilometres to Kabini from Bengaluru," he said.

After checking into a Karnataka government-owned resort, George set out with a guide to capture the mother and her cubs on his camera.

However, it wasn't to be. While the mother was found resting, there was no sign of the babies. The photographer spent an entire day trying to film but had to return back.

Unwilling to give up, George set out early the next day. Though the same routine followed for most of the morning, a change in approach finally yielded results.

"We decided to take the Tower Road, a road that is less commuted by vehicles and soon heard alarm calls from langoors and deers. My experience has taught me that these alarm calls affirms the presence of a predator," he said.

"We drove ahead and could not believe our eyes! There she was, playing with her three cubs near the backwaters," George added.

Happy with the sighting, he let his camera loose and click pictures and videos of the four tigers.
