Crowds in Bethlehem, West Bank protested George Floyd's death in a display of solidarity on Tuesday (June 2).

The Popular Resistance Committees, Palestinian political parties and civil society organisations gathered at around 8:30 pm in front of the Church of Nativity.

Footage shows a vigil in memory of George Floyd and a large poster which makes a comparison to Eyad al-Halaq, a 32-year-old Palestinian who was shot by Israeli police on Saturday in occupied East Jerusalem.

The Popular Resistance Committees, the Palestinian Political Parties and the civil society organizations in Bethlehem Today AT 20:30 PM in front of the Church of Nativity, Organized you stand in solidarity with the African American population in the US who are being oppressed at the hands of the police and racist regime. we the Palestinian people, who know all too well the meaning of persecution and cold-blooded killings, will hold a vigil in memory of George Floyd who was killed by racist police in the US, and Eyad al-Halaq who was murdered by the Israeli occupation.
