Doctor in Vietnam removes 'thousands of mushrooms' from man's ear
A doctor in Bac Giang, Vietnam was treating a patient who had thousands of tiny mushrooms inside their ear canal.
Captured on June 18, the professional medical camera shows the infestation of tiny mushrooms being removed with a medical endoscope while filming simultaneously.
Dr Hoat explained that the patient cam into his practice complaining of bad hearing as well as soreness and itchiness of their ear.
Hoat explained that the man's ears were only slightly damaged by the mushrooms, however if they had gone untreated then it could have caused serious infection.
After removing the mushrooms he cleaned the ear with a solution and claimed that a lack of hygiene was the cause.
