A doctor in Vietnam extracted a live butterfly from a man's ear in this grisly video.

According to the doctor, The man went to the hospital in Vinh Phuc on July 22, and said that there was an animal living in his ear canal.

After using endoscopic equipment, the doctor unexpectedly spotted a butterfly in the man's ear canal. The butterfly was still alive and tried to go deeper inside the ear, causing the man pain and irritation.

The doctor quickly clamped the butterfly and pulled it out of the man's ear. The butterfly had caused the interior of the man's ear canal to be slightly scratched.

The doctor advised the man to wear a safety helmet to prevent insects from flying into his ears when travelling at night.
