Portland protesters have shown up every night for two straight months after the Minneapolis police killing of George Floyd. Crowds have rallied against police brutality, anti-Black racism and, in recent weeks, the federal government’s response to the city’s protests.
"I’ve taken this footage just this week. I’ve been out there as much as I can be for the 50 something days this has been happening. I just want it to be known that the mainstream media is twisting what’s going on in Portland in favor of their far right views, labeling us rioters and anarchists. We stand outside of the Justice Center every single night only to be attacked and detained by Portland Police Bureau and Federal Agents, only finding more and more injustice every night. We’re protesting for black lives and police brutality only to experience more police brutality. We are fighting to end systemic white supremacy, black lives matter," said Brianna Clark-Tovar, author of the video.
