A pet cat is being kidnapped by a woman in Malaysia

CCTV footage shows the pet cat was being kidnapped by a woman in front of the pet owner house.

The owner already lodge a police report the next day on Aug 12.

The cat named 'Andy' however was sent back to the owner today evening at around 7.00 pm after the video went viral on local social media.

So here's how the story went: 'My mom blasted the video to the residents of my housing area. Someone pm'ed my mom with a number. My mom contacted the number and turns out the number belongs to the thief's sister.'

'The person claimed that her sister's intention was to help the cat because he was all wet and dirty. Not STEAL him'. Said the thief's sister.

'She claimed that they brought him to pet shop to be cleaned. But why does he smelled like cigarettes?' Told by the owner.

'The excuses told by the thief's sister however unacceptable by us. But as long as the Andy is back back home, then we would not look into it.'

The footage from Aug 11 was recorded at Nong chik Heights, Johor, Malaysia.
