A preying lion makes an unsuccessful grab at a rhino calf in North Uthungulu, South Africa.

Tim Brown, who filmed the tense encounter on September 13, told Newsflare: "The rhino has a horn (in most cases these days, they still do!), so the mother was able to defend her calf from the attack, and her baby rhino survived the attempted hunt.

"This is some of the most amazing footage anyone could ever capture with an interaction. I still cannot believe I was able to capture!"

A young male Lion tried to stalk and attack a baby Rhino! As you can imagine the Rhino has a horn (in most cases these days, they still do!). So the mother was able to defend her calf from the attack and her baby Rhino survived the attempted hunt.
