3-year-old with rare muscle condition walks for the first time in emotional video
A toddler in London who lives with a rare condition that affects one in 32,000 has taken his first steps in an emotional moment for all involved.
Three-year-old George Poch is pictured in Regents Park walking across a space of grass between family members.
George suffers from Kabuki syndrome, meaning he has sight in only one eye low muscle tone problems with his lungs.
Due to the effects of the condition he has previously been unable to walk but has made a lot of progress in a small amount of time.
The National Organization for Rare Disorders describes Kabuki syndrome as: "a rare, multisystem disorder characterised by multiple abnormalities including distinctive facial features, growth delays, varying degrees of intellectual disability, skeletal abnormalities, and short stature."
