Marea Blanca (doctors and nurses), Marea Verde (teachers) and the Neighborhood Platform “Barrios Hartos” called a demonstration on October 3, Saturday, at 12 noon next to the San Telmo Palace to Plaza Nueva.

Under the motto «Citizen Tsunami. In defense of 100% Public Health and Education ”, these three groups call for mobilization in defense of public services and for a dignified life in their neighborhoods.

A "necessary mobilization", first in the face of the deterioration and saturation of healthcare in health centers due to the lack of personnel and the accumulation of tasks, which causes it to take up to 10 and 15 days to attend to our neighbors and, in addition, in very precarious conditions. Second, before the beginning of the school year, in a context of improvisation, where the necessary teacher hiring has not been carried out to guarantee a reduction in the ratio that guarantees health security. Finally, in the face of a generalized abandonment of the working-class neighborhoods of our city, with a municipal government that does not prioritize combating inequalities in these areas and that suffer more than others from cuts and the dismantling of public services.
