This post office in northern India is one way to keep the postal service afloat!

Footage from October 16 showcases the popular tourist attraction located in Srinagar, the largest city of Jammu and Kashmir.

Believed to be the only one of its kind, this floating post office, located in a huge houseboat against the snow-clad mountains on the beautiful Dal Lake, has been attracting people over the years.

Established under British rule and dating back 200 years, it was revamped in 2011 to attract more visitors.

Beyond its reputation among locals for its efficient and hassle-free services, this unique post office also displays rare philately stamps.

"Since postal banking service was extended, we have received an overwhelming response. Local businessmen deposit heir savings every alternate day with us," an official said.
