Decorative Christmas lights celebrating the UK's coronavirus heroes were unveiled to little fanfare yesterday (November 2).

Footage shows lights on the iconic Oxford Street, Carnaby Street and New Bond Street, which usually receives larger crowds but due to the pandemic punters were scarce.

The Oxford Street lights had inspiration messages of love and hope and paid tribute to the UK's key workers and other coronavirus heroes.

This year the switch on for the Christmas lights in Oxford street was a quite affair. Little fanfare was made of it and no huge crowds attended.

The Carnaby Street Christmas Lights came on in London without the normal switch on excitement.
