Happiness filled his eyes as he pointed to his carefully sculpted pieces. He kept running to his workroom and each time he emerged, he held a visual tret in his hands.

Sachin Sanghe, a resident of Bangalore, is a software engineer by profession, but spends most of his time doing art work on chalk. Looking at the sculpture created by Sachin, it feels as if it has been molded into a mold. From the figure of deities to the portraits of celebs, Sachin engraves on a small chalk.

Sachin always used to write notes on the blackboard while studying in high school. During this time, he got a special connection with Chalk. He started working on chalk with the help of his geometry tools. His art continued to get better with time. Due to studies in engineering college, he got away from this task. After getting the job, Sachin again started focusing on his art. First of all, Sachin started his art work on chalk with letters and names. Then he used to give it to his relatives. When Sachin's hands became well, he first created the idol of Lord Mahavira. Along with Chalk Murti art, Sachin went on to become proficient in Micro Murti art too. Sachin also told that there was no medium of learning due to lack of internet facility. It took 5 to 6 hours to make a normal chalk sculpture, whereas the difficult sculpture used to take 130 hours. It took him 80 hours to prepare a sculpture of the Taj Mahal. It has been fifteen years since Sachin was working.
