Building A Magnetic Modular LED Work Light - Powered by Milwaukee M12 Battery!

Buy video

In this video I will show you how to make a modular work light / task light system based off of dollar store LED light panels and a Milwaukee M12 tool battery. The concept is to have a lighting system that is flexible and versatile where you can add or remove light panels as required, aim them in different directions, adjust their individual brightness and mount the assembly in different configurations.

The system is powered by the Milwaukee M12 tool battery and clips into the base component of the light. The base can also slip into the spring loaded stabilizer to increase the stability of the lighting system when being used as a tower light.

Red status LEDs light up the connection points to show there is adequate power to the system and it is ready for use.

As an added bonus, the dollar store lights also yielded some small COB LED panels that were combined to build a flashlight attachment that also works great!

The video takes you through the design and assembly of each of the components in detail so that you can build your own. All of the 3D printable files and design resources are located on my Thingiverse page or GrabCAD page:
