A car ploughed through a group of protesters during a march against an ICE detention centre in Manhattan, New York on Friday (December 11) night.

The march was in solidarity with ICE detainees on a hunger strike at an ICE facility in Bergen County, New Jersey.

At least two people flew up in the air when a black BMW drove through the crowd.

Protesters said police later pushed them away from the injured people they were trying to help.

Police later arrested the occupants of the vehicle, according to eyewitnesses.

According to one photographer, a female driver and female passenger were arrested.
