Robot Shalu is an Artificially Intelligent Indian Humanoid Robot which is the First Humanoid Robot in the world that can speak 9 Indian and 38 foreign languages developed by an Indian Teacher Dinesh Patel, Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Bombay.

This is a homemade lost-cost budget robot without using any 3D Printed parts, all part of the body is made by the developer at home using readily available items in the local market such as plastic, cardboard, aluminum, etc.

This low-cost robot has a diverse set of capabilities. Shalu can recognize faces, identify objects, shake hands, make jokes, and show emotions like happiness and anger. It can initiate conversations based on any predefined scripted social content using Artificial Intelligence in many languages. It can also solve simple math problems/equations, tell about chemistry elements, and conduct a verbal quiz on specified areas. It can act as a personal assistant, reply to emails and send SMS, deliver weather reports based on the date and daily news, readout sun sign horoscopes, food recipes, book author name, movie reviews, contact details, online product reviews, etc.
