New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio faced hecklers as he spoke for approximately one minute at a Friday night vigil held in Union Square Park for the victims of Tuesday’s shootings at three Atlanta area spas. Some spectators jeered over the Mayor’s remarks, as some yelled: “Go home.”

Ravi Reddi, the event’s moderator and the Associate Director of Advocacy and Policy at the Asian American Federation, sought to calm the crowd following the brief address. “There’s a lot of energy here tonight,” he said.
