An amusing video has emerged of a ‘jealous’ cat attacking a camera.

The footage, captured in a home in Gainsville, GA, US earlier this month, shows the cat readying itself for an attack while the filmer records a video of her baby in a bouncer.

"Are you going to attack me?" The filmer asks – prompting the feline to leap head-first into the camera.

Writing online about the amusing incident, the filmer said "I was trying to film my five month old son in his jumper, but our jealous cat started attacking me (why the camera was shaking), she got mad at me when I pushed her away and then attacked the camera to get back at me."
