'This captivating white flower-esque structure was designed by a colony of stingless bees. The said structure is used as an entrance to their nest.

This stellar footage of the bees constantly flying out of and into the beautiful tunnel was captured by Jack Loo Kok Hua on April 18, 2021.

He said: "It sure looks like a flower but it is merely an entrance beautifully designed and constructed by the amazing stingless bees. This structure helps prevent the intruders from entering the nest. It's truly a work of art!"

Research has shown that the exact entrance size often varies from colony to colony. However, the size surely plays a role in determining how easy it is to defend against trespassers.
