A cat has videobombed a live press conference in front of MPs in a hilarious video.

In footage taken at the scene, Lebanese Member of Parliament (MP) Misbah Ahdab can be seen speaking to other MPs and journalists on Thursday 27 May, discussing serious political developments in Tripoli.

"The Lebanese people have lost trust in an attempt to be rescued by the Lebanese political class, because it is impossible that one who's created the problem can solve it," he says.

However, Ahdab is then greeted by an unsuspecting guest during his speech.

A cat emerges out of nowhere, jumping on the table to steal the spotlight – even approaching a camera to sniff it.

The furry feline can also be heard meowing a few times in the background.

However, the Lebanese MP doesn't bat an eyelid and calmly continues talking, seemingly unfazed by the abrupt interruption.

The cat later left the conference and has as yet not apologised for his naughty kitty behaviour.
