Karsen from Petaluma, California makes a cured egg yolk which takes her 6 days to complete. She separates the yolk from the whites and completely covers the yolk with salt. After 5 days, she removes the salt and puts the yolk into the oven for 1.5 hours on low heat. She is then able to cut through the solidified yolk and plans to grate it over pasta and salad in this tastefully informative clip from March 17.
