A tiny dog being taken for a walk got a little too big for its boots when it chased a much bigger dog down the road in the Philippines' Cebu Province.

The little pup started well, barking furiously to chase its much bigger rival down the road. But as soon as it rounded a corner, the larger canine found a similar-sized chum to chase the yappy pup back where he came from.

The small black dog, Pappoii, ran yelping back to its owner for help in the incident on 26 July.

Pet owner Alistair Lubanga said: "He’s a lovely puppy and pretty shy with other people he’s not familiar with, but (he) wanted to play with the big dogs."

"He wouldn’t mind if he faces a dog twice or four times his size but when he realised there were more (of them) he came back to me like a child."

This is the amusing moment a tiny puppy ran after a bigger dog but came back to the owner for help after seeing it had companions.

The black pooch named Pappoii was being walked in the neighbourhood when it saw the bigger dog in Cebu province, the Philippines.
