This is the hilarious moment a pet owner had a surprise workout when his dog stole his TV remote and ran off into a nearby field.

The fur dad had been watching TV in their living room when the mischievous one-year-old pooch named Brook plucked the remote control and ran away.

Amusing video shows Brook with the device in her jaws bounding across the grass in Tarlac province, the Philippines on May 25 while the exasperated man jogged after her.

She dropped the TV remote and, seemingly eager to play another round of fetch, waited expectantly for her owner, who only turned to return to their house while panting.

Onlooker Celine Mercado said: 'Brook is very physically active. This time, she wanted to play outside, so she grabbed the remote and ran into the field. She probably thought it was a toy.'
