The uneasy truce between Gaza and Israel after the latter pummelled the former in a short conflict in May, has been punctuated recently by protests along the border fence between the two.

Reports in Palestinian media indicated that units in charge of incendiary balloon attacks on Israel planned to resume activities.

Palestinians are demanding an end to Israel's blockade of the territory and the right of Palestinians to return to lands they fled or were expelled from when the Israel was founded.

During conflict in May, Israel increased its already strict restrictions on importing goods to Gaza, including construction materials, leading to difficulty rebuilding and an economic crisis.
