This terrifying footage shows the bellowing smoke and flames from beneath the Foresthill Bridge in Auburn, California.

Emily Van Winkle, 33, captured the footage shortly after the first flame retardant air drop.

The 100 acre fire has been burning under the Foresthill Bridge in Auburn, since Sunday.

Emily, from Cool, said: “My first reaction was thinking this was going to get bad quick, but at the same time thankful for how quickly they were fighting it. They were on it.

“I hope people feel gratitude and thankfulness for these first responders who work so hard and respond so quickly to fight for our beautiful area and our homes.”

“The fire was just a few acres when we got there but the terrain was super difficult, and they brought in everyone they needed right at the beginning.”
