A kitten that had one of its legs gnawed off by mice was adopted by a husky.

Eleonora, 24, lives with four cats and three dogs at her home in Sicily, Italy and filmed a series of videos of her husky looking after the three-legged kitten.

She said: "The video tells the story of my tripod kitten named PiediNO, he came to me in critical condition, in the video we can see his recovery and growth together with his 'mum' Sharon, my Siberian Husky."

When the kitten was found he was only 5 days old, malnourished and abandoned by his mother. One of his legs had been gnawed at by mice too.

PiediNO lost his foot on one side and up to his knee joint on the other side due to injection.
