This ferret kit is a pro swimmer even at just 1 week old.

This video, filmed in Radenci, Slovenia, features the owner introducing her pet to the water for the first time.

"The ferret was around 1 week old at the time of filming," Lara Mirnik said.

"The owner socialized the baby with as many different people as possible to give it different experiences."

She added: "Also, she carried out various tests to see if it was normal. And this test was a no-brainer since most ferrets can swim without concern. Also, when these polecats are young, they have a lot of energy and swimming is a good exercise to burn it off."

The furry thing ends up doing a brilliant job at treading water and gets praised by its owner.
