Sumit Goyat from Chicago decided to test what would happen if he left a wet T-shirt outside in the freezing cold.

"This was taken...when the temperature in Chicago dropped to -30 degrees celsius due to the Polar Vortex effect," Goyat said.

"In just 2 minutes, the shirt was frozen rigid."

The video was filmed in January 2019.

"This was taken on January 31st, 2019, when the temperature in Chicago dropped to -30 degrees celsius due to the Polar Vortex effect," Sumit wrote. "In just 2 minutes, the shirt was frozen rigid."

The subject also strikes the piece of cloth, which generates a sound that can be heard when one taps on a hardboard.
