Vancouver's iconic steam clock is famous around the world. A major attraction in the historic Gastown in Vancouver, BC Canada. At the top of each hour the clock releases more steam causing the whistles to play. This may be the most photographed clock in Canada.
Vancouver's Gastown marks the original settlement of the town of Granville which was a logging community on Vancouver's waterfront. The town burned to the ground at one time and was rebuilt using much rock and stone instead of the lumber which it had previously been. The township eventually changed the name to Vancouver after explorer, Captain George Vancouver.
