Ukraine supporters rallying outside Downing Street in London on Thursday evening (February 24) reacted to the new sanctions the UK had placed against Russia just hours before.

One woman said, "this is absolutely not enough, I think Russia need to be just cut out from the whole world", adding she wanted Russian citizens "to be banned" from entering "any other country of the world".

A Russian at the demonstration felt the sanctions were "relatively radical" but added she felt they were "good sanctions" and "quick implementation is important". She hoped visa restrictions wouldn't be a part of the sanctions.

Another demonstrator who felt the crisis is "the start of World War 3 unless it's stopped" said she believed Putin should be cut out of the Swift payment system.

A man at the rally said he believed going after oligarchs was the right thing and freezing their accounts was important, "each day you don't freeze them, the money will just flow outside the UK".

A demonstrator with a placard reading 'No war in Ukraine' said she wants Russia to feel more pressure, but "it's difficult to judge what is enough, what is not, because it's not easy".
