Amazing aerial footage has emerged of the summit crater of Mount Etna volcano in Sicily, Italy.

The video, captured late last month by a drone flying at 3,500 metres, gives a unique perspective around, over and inside the five smoking craters on the active stratovolcano.

Etna is the most active volcano in Europe and has regular low-level eruptions.
