Japan: Shinkansen Bullet Train Derails After Powerful Earthquake
Powerful magnitude 6.4 and 7.3 earthquakes struck northern Japan at around 23:36 pm on Wednesday, March 16, leaving 3 dead and more than 200 injured.
A Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train that was running in Miyagi Prefecture derailed after the quake, 16 of the 17 cars derailed, according to East Japan Railway.
No injuries were reported in this accident.
