An alert lifeguard leapt into a pool in Jamaica recently to rescue a woman as she emerged from a water slide.

Footage captured in Montego Bay on February 23 showed Cheryl Hatcher immediately getting into trouble as she splashed down off the slide.

"My mother decided to face her fears but once we got to the top, she had a panic attack, so I told her to go back down the stairs, not knowing that she was also afraid of heights," said the filmer, Camilla Gore.

"She got scared in the dark part of the water slide and the water kept getting in her face," she said.

'Things didn't look too promising for the star of this video when she decided to face her fear of drowning by going down a water slide.

The subject, Cheryl Hatcher, doesn't even try swimming back to the surface and has to be saved from drowning (in a four-feet deep pool) by the lifeguard.
