A strike by a group of KLM baggage handlers caused chaos, cancelled flights and long queues at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on Saturday 23 April.

The strike was in protest against working conditions and staff shortages.

For nearly three hours the airport told passengers not to come to the airport. Police closed roads to the airport briefly too.

The strike's effect was particularly bad as it coincided with school holidays.

This timelapse video gives an idea of the length of some of the queues caused by the chaos.
