A man from Minneapolis in the USA helped to rescue some baby squirrels recently after he cut down their pine tree home.

"The back of our pine tree was dying, so we cut it down," said Tony Wind.

"Unbeknownst to us, a family of squirrels was living at the top and we felt terrible once we saw the babies," he added.

"We put a blanket and their nesting materials in a box and waited. Three hours later, the mom came back. She carried the babies to their new nest one by one. We later realised she also took the piece of the blanket we had left in the box," he said.

Wind said he was very relieved that the story had a happy ending.

Filmed by Tony Wind, this delightful series of clips shows a mama squirrel taking her babies, one at a time, to their new home after their previous one got unintentionally destroyed by the filmer.
