Boris Johnson booed as he leaves Parliament following vote of no confidence vote.

The Tory MP Sir Charles Walker has said tonight that he expects Boris Johnson to win, but that the result could lead to “guerilla war” in the Conservative party.

Voting began at 6pm on Monday evening and concluded at 8pm, with the result set to be announced at 9pm.

If more than 180 MPs support Johnson then he can stay as party leader and prime minister. If not, then he will lose the leadership of the party and cannot stand in the ensuing leadership contest.
