Some of many humpback whales checking out our Antarctica cruise ship, possibly the first ship it has seen due to the pandemic.
As we were traveling across the Gerlache Strait in Antarctica, we came across a pod of whales. 50 HUMPBACK WHALES! They had been eating the krill, but once they saw our ship, they started coming in waves to check out what we were. They were everywhere, diving under the boat, spyhopping out of the water, and just overall curious about what we were. And they were doing this for 2 HOURS!
